Customize your own attefallshus

Concept, ux and web design

Attefallshus signed K-rauta

When it was decided that you could build an Attefallshus on your plot without planning permission, it became very popular and relevant to highlight Attefallshus. K-rauta has developed an attack house in collaboration with Oskar Sejnäs, who is an architect who designed their attack house. He has also designed a space ambulance for NASA.

Have created a nice layout and design for K-rauta's "build your own attefallshus" concept website, where you as a user can configure and design your dream attefalls house in real time.

The assignment

To show the diversity and possibilities of the house models, we wanted to create a configurator or "building tool". The visitor would be able to experiment and try different roof shapes, styles, surface color, etc. The own house could then be shared via email or Facebook.

Solution

We created a design that was inspired by different broker sites because the attefall houses have a similar content with e.g. description, pictures and drawings. We also wanted to clarify the flow of the planning and construction process itself to simplify and for the user how it actually happens. Call-to-actions were placed in selected places for best effect. The website is of course responsive and is built on Umbraco CMS.
